Located in the Sayler Park neighborhood of the city of Cincinnati,〔 it is believed to have been built by people of the Adena culture. Measuring high, the mound is an ellipse, approximately long and wide.〔Owen, Lorrie K., ed. ''Dictionary of Ohio Historic Places''. Vol. 1. St. Clair Shores: Somerset, 1999.〕 The mound has been excavated by the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History and Science;〔 among the many artifacts recovered were various grave goods and thirty-nine skeletons that were buried in log tombs.
